Boys are welcome at the Greater Washington Dance Center!
The Boys' Ballet Program is intended to support and nurture boys’ interest and training in ballet. Ballet training offers boys and young men a unique opportunity to build athleticism, strength, flexibility, balance, discipline and teamwork in a rigorous, yet supportive environment. Students will not only grow into confident young artists inside the studio, but also strong young men of character outside the studio as they learn respect, self-expression, and team-building skills. This program also promotes self-discipline in a non-competitive environment. In addition to classroom training, boys are given numerous opportunities for performing through our resident companies, Festival Ballet Virginia and Motion X Dance.
