Pre-professional division
The Pre-Professional Division is a course of study incorporating ballet, modern, jazz and if applicable, pointe classes into a regular course of study. Dancers must be at least 10 years old to enroll. The emphasis is on learning proper technique and decorum and to propel the dancer's training exponentially. Dancers will be held to a higher standard and will be expected to commit themselves to their training.
GWDC dancers are trained in a uniquely American style of dance. They learn by combining the logic and precision of ballet and the dynamism of contemporary dance all wrapped with the intent to nurture the individual's creative, social, intellectual and spiritual development. Our goal is to develop the most versatile dancers and passionate performers who are able to jump from style and genre easily and seamlessly. GWDC provides the very best in training and opportunities in order to develop the future's dancers, teachers, choreographers and lovers of the art of dance.
Should a dancer wish to pursue dance as a profession, they may choose a more concentrated course of study by attending our Professional Division.
